Canadian pre-mover listings held strong in June, totaling 71,140—just below May’s annual high of 77,906 and 1.1% lower than June 2024. While month-over-month volume softened slightly, national activity remains elevated, signaling strong momentum deep into the summer moving season.
🔍Provincial Highlights
Ontario continued to lead with 35,664 pre-mover listings. That’s down slightly from May but still the second-highest total recorded in the last 12 months—cementing the province’s role as the top driver of national volume.
Quebec posted 10,798 listings in June, up 7.8% year-over-year. It’s the province’s fourth consecutive month above the 10,000 mark, reflecting stable seller momentum as summer unfolds.
British Columbia posted 9,429 listings—modestly lower than May but on par with seasonal trends. Despite the dip, BC remains one of the top three provinces for pre-mover activity.
Other notable increases:
Alberta recorded 9,006 listings, down just 6% from May and still showing strong year-over-year growth.
Saskatchewan tallied 1,479, slightly below its May figure but above 2024’s monthly average.
Nova Scotia posted 1,193, maintaining solid momentum after reaching a 12-month high last month.
In smaller provinces, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and PEI all showed typical early summer movement—slight seasonal cooling from May highs but maintaining volumes well above their early-year baselines.
